Artist's Statement : I am reminded of a smile of my gentle kind mother and the sound of her sewing machine.  I remember her saying "If you talk to flowers, beautiful flowers will bloom".  Her favorite red roses bloomed this year.  I appreciated her teaching me the preciousness of life.  Thanks to my mother.
