Title : A beautiful Buddhist statue in Nara Theme : Kentucky Chain II Artist : Mitsuyo Ozawa Size : H68" × W49" / H173cm × W125cm Artist's Statement : The Kofukuji Temple in Nara contains a special Buddhist statue of Ashura with three faces and six arms, a designated national treasure. To see it one must go to Nara. I admired its dignified faces and worked hard to display this sense in my quilt.
