Artist's Statement : I based this quilt on a sketch of Spain which I made when I traveled there several years ago.  I was moved by the many Islamic buildings in Granada.  The white doves symbolize a wish for peace.  The border is made from Arabic patterns. 

Technique : Machine Piecing, Hand Applique, Hand Quilting

Material : Cotton, Uneven dyeing
